When This Week is Over

When this week is over, my life will feel almost stress-free. This week I have so many things that I must do in order to get happy grades in school and keep me on course to graduate in the Fall. Already this week I have accomplished two of the four huge projects I have for the week. I am extremely ready for them all to be done with and turned in. The part of this that I will hate the most is the presentation I give tomorrow in one of my classes. I don't like to give presentations in a foreign language, but whatever I have to do I will do. My GPA is actually important to me so I do everything that is assigned in every class (when necessary). When this week is over I have one small non comprehensive final on Tuesday and then I can prepare myself for a week long trip to San Diego followed by a week at camp school. . .that's the only other thing that stresses me out right now. However, that is only because I don't get to be with my wife for a week :(
I don't care much about politics, but I care enough to respect congressmen. Rush Limbaugh smokes, so does the President of the U.S. Regardless of political party people will have the same vicious habits. Anyway, I just don't like to hear all about this guy and that guy and who's the better politician all over facebook. These conversations make people look dumb and help us all understand why our country is so full of problems.
So, I am graduating really soon and that is a relief. By 2011 I will have no more homework. Anyone jealous? And just for fun I will shout this out: Go Braves, Packers, Cavs, Flyers and USU Aggies!
The End.

Photoshop Picture Fun

Here are the original photos, but with Photoshop I was able to enhance them in an interesting manner. 1st I copied the image layer, then I made the photo black and white. Following that I took the eraser tool and brought back color where I wanted it. Then I changed the shadow and midtone contrast to give an old photo look to the pictures.

Photoshop Learning

I have been thoroughly enjoying my semester at Utah State. I am learning so much, especially in my news cast class where I apply what I am learning and get experience. Just this last week I produced an entire news cast and today I was the sports producer/anchor. It was so fun! Anchoring is really fun too because you get to look cool on camera and make fun comments and be the center of attention. Also, I am so glad I was able to run onto the basketball court Saturday night as the Aggie men's basketball team claimed the WAC Championship. I love USU! My wife is always there supporting me whether it is while I am doing my homework or excited for an athletic event. She is the biggest blessing in my life. I love you Katie! The End.

Learning About Re'sume's

Hmm. It appears that there are a few things I could learn from reading about re'sume's and how to make them look good and professionally breath-taking. One day I will master this art, but for now I will take it a step at a time. I realized that I shouldn't put my references on the re'sume' and that my re'sume' should be only one page. That means I must condense my acheivements and make myself look rather bored at what I have done in my life time. Besides that I learned that I must not put my jobs in chronological order, rather from most recent to whenever before that. It's interesting isn't it that I can learn so much in one day about something I thought I knew already.
Lately I have been working at my internship, where I film and edit college football practice and game. I was breaking down the UCLA vs San Diego State game and I had to laugh. SDSU actually led 14-0 about ten minutes into the game. Unfortunately my laughter ended when UCLA won by three touchdowns. It's fun to breakdown each solitary play and analzye it. It's becoming a very fun thing for me to do. The end.

Netiquette

Wow, twenty pages of reading about how to write on the internet really impacted the way I think about what I say or how I react to things online. The article "Conversational Cheap Shots: How NOT to Talk" http://www.vandruff.com/art_converse.html was hilarious! I enjoyed it and will have to tell my wife all about how we can do funny things to other people using question, answer and other twists.
The article I read about E-mail etiquette wasn't all that informative because we learn that in high school. However, "The Core Rules of Netiquette" was pretty clever. I am pretty sure I learned more than enough about how to compose my answers to people's crazy status updates on "Facebook". All I should do is picture myself saying to the person's face what I post on their status/wall. If I don't think I can say it in person, then I probably shouldn't write that to them either. So, I must say I will need to have more self-control when it comes to "Facebooking". That's all for today! The End.
